On a gloriously sunny afternoon on 30th July Woolley, together with the Suffolk Carbon Charter, hosted a summer garden party – a celebration of green buildings & green business.

There was a good turnout for the day, with a variety of fellow sustainable businesses attending, some even arriving by bicycle.  After some delicious refreshments, generously provided by Sabre and Adnams, we heard from host Nicholas Woolley and guest speaker Ralph Carpenter of Modece architects on their experience of investing in environmentally supportive technologies such as renewable energy or the simple and practical  measures that can easily be implemented by any business or home to save energy.

The presentation of awards to newly accredited Charters followed (including the presentation of our Gold reaccreditation) and we congratulate those businesses on their achievement and hope they continue to spread the word around Suffolk – and the UK!!

An excellent networking session followed, and we were delighted to meet like-minded businesses and share our experiences with them, and learn from theirs.

All in all it was a very successful event and, following the excellent feedback we had, we hope to repeat it next year.
