At the beginning of September, our Nick Woolley was pleased to be asked to join and contribute as part of the assessment team for The Urbanism Awards by the Academy of Urbanism.
The Academy’s mission is to recognise, encourage and celebrate great places across the UK, Europe and beyond, and the people and organisations that create and sustain them. They work with places to identify and reinforce their strengths, and recognise constraints on greater success.
The Urbanism Awards are the Academy’s primary platform for recognising the best, most enduring or most improved environment at different scales.
Nick assessed the Great Place category and visited the three following ‘great places’ : Bishops Square – London, St Pancras International – London and the Christmas Steps, Arts Quarter – Bristol.
We look forward to hearing the outcome of the assessments in mid-November.
