Joseph (Joey) is an Associate Director at Woolley with a long-standing, professional association with Woolley developed through connections with The Prince’s Charities Group over several years. Joey is currently working on the charity sector’s national response to the Covid-19 global pandemic and is focusing on both the immediate response and support needs of communities across the UK as well as the long-term recovery of businesses and communities in the aftermath of the crisis. He is principally concerned with ensuring that communities have access to justice and that we nurture and improve the natural environment.
Joey has a wide-ranging policy development and programme implementation experience gained through twelve years of service to The Prince of Wales’s Charities Group in the United Kingdom and fifteen years civil service experience to the Commonwealth, State and Local Governments in Australia. Joey has built a career focussing on sustainability and climate change. He led Australia’s national Greenhouse Gas Abatement Programme in the very early days of UN climate change negotiations, he is the founding Director of HRH The Prince of Wales’s Business Emergency Resilience Group at Business in the Community and he was the Director of External Relations and Sustainability at The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment.
In addition to his senior civil service and charitable roles, for seven years, he voluntarily chaired a publicly funded health organisation, the AIDS Action Council in Australia and continues in the UK to serve on several Boards and charitable organisations including the Environmental Law Foundation, Solving Kids’ Cancer and The Canal Building Management Company in London. Joey is also a long-standing Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce (RSA).
Joey has strong knowledge of the environment and sustainability, climate change, corporate responsibility, business resilience, risk profiling and business continuity with a reputation for delivering programme growth and retaining and building strong corporate partnerships.
