The adopted King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Core Strategy requires at least 1,600 new homes to be built in the area adjoining West Winch by 2026. The exact location is yet to be decided.
A public exhibition was held on Tuesday 7 August 2012 at the William Burt Social Club on behalf of Zurich Assurance Ltd (ZAL) and other West Winch landowners, who have been involved in the village for many years. On show were proposals for creating a long term masterplan to protect the village. This includes high quality homes, community facilities and a bypass around West Winch.
